DIY Bottle Station

DIY Bottle Station

We usually don’t keep bottle lambs for ourselves but this time we are trying something new. We kept five bottle lambs to raise up ourselves to see how they do.

Once we get them eating well, the lambs start to be fed cold milk. Five bottle lambs can be a lot to try to feed at once! Especially when they start to get strong and pushy when it’s bottle time.

We made a bucket feeder before but weren’t happy with the design. It was hard to clean and seemed to leak too much.

Martin came up with a new bottle rack design and it is working great! We like to use baby bottles from Walmart - our newborn bottle lambs always seem to take to these nipples better for us.

He found some scrap wood and fit everything just right so we can pop the bottles in and let them lambs go to town on feeding. Then when it is time for a refill, or to clean the bottles, they pop right back out!

If you’d like to learn how to make one for yourself, send us a message! We’d be happy to help.
