New Concrete

New Concrete

We have been wanting to add some concrete pads to our working system for a while now. We were finally able to finish the project this month!

Martin did an excellent job prepping for the project. The measurements were important so we could ensure that the working system would line up correctly after the concrete was poured. He also did a great job of calculating how much we would need so we could order the right amount and have no waste.

We poured two concrete pads for the working system, one under the roll table, and one under the scale. These will allow for a cleaner working station and less movement in those areas.

A second grain bin was needed so we could have two different types of feed, one for the ewes and another for growing lambs. The concrete pad under the bin has metal feet stuck down in each corner. Harry then welded the bin legs to the feet to keep everything in place.

We are very happy to have this project completed! Now on to the next one… farm work never ends!
